Protecting your data matters to us. Here you can learn which data InstantRSS processes — and which it does not.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing in connection with the InstantRSS app and this website is CodeNameFuture. Contact: see imprint / Play Store listing for the e-mail address.
2. Data processing in the app
InstantRSS is a live wallpaper that fetches the RSS feeds of your choice and displays them as a ticker on your home screen. The app only fetches the RSS feed URLs you configured, directly from your device. Your feed selection or usage data is never transmitted to our servers.
3. No registration, no tracking
The app requires no user account and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. No personal usage profiles are created.
4. Permissions
The app needs internet access to load RSS feeds. Beyond that, only the permissions Android provides for live wallpapers are used.
5. Data processing during the beta test (Google Play)
If you take part in the closed test via Google Play, Google's privacy policies apply additionally. Reviews and feedback you submit in the Play Store or the tester group are published there under your Google account.
6. Data processing on this website
This website provides information about the app. When visited, technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time) is processed. No analytics cookies are set. When playing the embedded YouTube video, the privacy policies of Google/YouTube apply.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated when the app or legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies. Last updated: September 2026.
